LecturePoll is a lightweight live-polling tool for classroom use. An instructor creates polls from within PowerPoint using the LectureNotes add-in; you (a student) join a poll from this site using a join code or QR code shown on the projected slide, and submit a response. Using this site means you agree to the following.

What this service is

This is a simple response-collection and results-display tool, offered as-is by the instructor running the session. It isn't a company product, doesn't require an account, and doesn't process any payments.

Using it fairly

• Only join and respond to polls you're an actual participant in, using a code your instructor gave you or your class.
• Submit one honest response per poll. The site uses your student number to discourage duplicate submissions, but this isn't foolproof — please don't try to circumvent it.
• Don't enter someone else's name or student number without their knowledge.
• Don't attempt to access another student's individual response, or the instructor's presenter controls, without authorization.

No warranty

This tool is provided without guarantees of uptime, availability, or accuracy. Poll data could occasionally be delayed, lost, or unavailable due to network or technical issues. It's built for informal classroom use, not for anything where a dropped response would cause real harm (e.g. a graded, high-stakes assessment).

Content

Poll questions and aggregate results belong to the instructor running the session. Your individual response is yours, but by submitting it you're allowing it to be stored and shown (in aggregate, or individually to the instructor) as part of that poll.

Educational context

This site is intended to be used at an instructor's direction, as part of a class session. It isn't intended for use outside that context.

Changes

The instructor or the tool itself may change, pause, or end a poll at any time. These terms may also be updated as LecturePoll's features change.

Questions

For questions about a specific poll or your data, ask the instructor running that session — they have direct control over the poll and can correct or remove your response.

This is a short, plain-language summary written for a classroom tool, not a substitute for your institution's own policies, which take precedence where they apply.
